Peter Costa is the CEO and founder of Baltu Studios. Located in Tempe, Arizona, Baltu Studios is an immersive audio company that creates engaging music and sound experiences in VR. The studio builds experiences that are meant to inspire creativity, exploration, education, and empathy within virtual worlds that are visually and sonically captivating.
Before founding Baltu Studios, Peter worked in the video game industry, producing interactive experiences as a music composer, audio engineer, and sound designer. He has written music for Warner Bros and viral YouTube string trio, “Simply Three”. He was also a founding member of the internationally touring rock band, “Scary Kids Scaring Kids”, who was signed to RCA records.
Peter earned both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition & Theory from Arizona State University. While at ASU, his works were performed in many venues and has performed in many concerts. He has also co-authored a publication in the journal ‘Physical Biology’.
Peter is passionate about serving individuals and communities. He worked as an educator in the fields of music, physics, and audio production. Currently, he co-organizes ‘Phoenix VR for Good’, which meets monthly in Tempe, Arizona. He is married and has 3 daughters, Francesca, Isabella, and Luciana.
